Militant for a world that is more respectful of people and the environment, Jallatte has been committed for several years to a vast CSR plan called J-Clean, which is embodied by :
– The relocation of part of the production of our safety shoes to the Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort factory
– The development of local know-how
– The implementation of a responsible purchasing policy
In order to fight against global warming, the United Nations has given a clear mandate: greenhouse gas emissions must be reduced by 45% by 2030.
Achieving carbon neutrality requires 3 concrete actions:
– Measuring our carbon footprint
– Reducing our carbon footprint
– Offset what we have not managed to reduce
To respond to the climate emergency and help reduce greenhouse gases, our Gard-based SME has developed a new generation of eco-responsible safety shoes: J’respect.
By analysing the entire life cycle of our products, we can estimate that a traditional safety shoe represents no less than 15kg of CO2 per pair.
To take concrete action and reduce our carbon footprint, we have created the J’respect collection:
– ECO-SAVING UGES made from 50% to 100% recycled materials
– BIOSOURCED SOLE made from 100% renewable materials and without fossil energy: Biomass Balance polyurethane from BASF
Jallatte is also committed to this GHG reduction approach by financing, through the United Nations, a renewable energy production project in Laos that allows for energy self-sufficiency and carbon-free use.
Thanks to our J-Clean approach and our complete Measurement/ Reduction/ Offset cycle, the J’respect collection can finally claim 0 Kg of CO2 per pair.
Together, let’s be actors of Zero Carbon!
